Sherlyn Mae F. Hernandez works as a Project Manager at the Development Academy of the Philippines’ Modernizing Government Regulations (MGR) Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science degree, Cum Laude, from De La Salle University – Manila and a Master’s Degree in International Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her research interests include ASEAN and International Relations of Southeast Asia, Cultural Diplomacy, Non-Western IR, and US Foreign Policy. She previously worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP). Prior to joining the government, she was a Part-Time Instructor of the Social Sciences Area teaching Life, Works and Writings of Jose Rizal, Philippine Government and Constitution and Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas (Philippine History) at De La Salle Lipa in Batangas. During her free time, she accepts online volunteer work from different international and foreign non-government organizations through the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Online.
