Southeast Asian Women’s Summit and 8th National Women’s Summit

PHISO is part of the organizing team convening the 2nd Southeast Asian Women’s Summit and 8th National Women’s Summit on March 2-3, 2026, at Miriam College. Under the theme “ASEAN Leadership and Regional Cooperation: Where are the Women?”, this summit strategically aligns with International Women’s Month and the Philippines’ pivotal ASEAN Chairship.

This forum will bring together a diverse coalition from civil society, government, academia, indigenous communities, and international agencies to critically examine the barriers to women’s leadership and co-create concrete pathways for inclusive regional cooperation.

Discussions will be structured around six key thematic tracks:

  1. Women in Political Leadership and Governance
  2. Economic Justice and Women’s Empowerment
  3. Peace, Security, and Human Rights
  4. Intersectional Realities: Leaving No One Behind
  5. Feminist Movements and Building Solidarity
  6. Ending Gender-Based Violence: Justice, Support, and Prevention
