Open Letter

Dear esteemed mentors, fellow colleagues, students, and friends,

I am glad to inform you that www.PhISO.org is our official website. If you have any inquiries, comments or suggestions, please email me at info@nassef-m-adiong.com.
Our first step is to gather all Filipino academicians (scholars, teachers, and students) in the field of International Relations and related social/physical sciences by convening e-meetings through our Facebook and Gmail groups. The first project is to form a core group that aims to formally establish PhISO.
The second step is to convene a conference at the end of 2016. The tentative schedule is on November 21-25, which includes panels, one or two plenary session(s), meetings of the core group, and convening for the set up of the e-journal. Papers presented will be collected, peer-reviewed, and published in an open-access e-journal by early 2017.
The third step is to go global by participating in the 5th Global International Studies Conference 2017 at the National Taiwan University. Our goal is to become a member of the prestigious World International Studies Committee (WISC). By late-2017 or after our participation at WISC, we will officially submit our interest to become a member (partner organization) of the International Studies Association (ISA), the most respected and widely known scholarly association dedicated to international studies.
Our fourth step is to contact prestigious publishing houses to find a host for the PhISO e-journal. In 2018, I hope that we will be able to participate at the annual convention of ISA and papers presented will be part of the very first PhISO edited book project.
I am earnestly hoping that you will hear my call and help me materialize PhISO. Many thanks.
Respectfully,
