Dear esteemed mentors, fellow colleagues, students, and friends,
I am glad to inform you that www.PhISO.org
is our official website. If you have any inquiries, comments or suggestions, please email me at email@example.com.
Our first step is to gather all Filipino academicians (scholars, teachers, and students) in the field of International Relations and related social/physical sciences by convening e-meetings through our Facebook
groups. The first project is to form a core group
that aims to formally establish PhISO.
The second step is to convene a conference
at the end of 2016. The tentative schedule is on November 21-25, which includes panels, one or two plenary session(s), meetings of the core group, and convening for the set up of the e-journal. Papers presented will be collected, peer-reviewed, and published in an open-access e-journal by early 2017.
Our fourth step is to contact prestigious publishing houses to find a host for the PhISO e-journal. In 2018, I hope that we will be able to participate at the annual convention of ISA and papers presented will be part of the very first PhISO edited book project.
I am earnestly hoping that you will hear my call and help me materialize PhISO. Many thanks.
