Romeo P. Peña is an Assistant Professor and the Chief of Center for Social History at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He is also currently a PhD Philippine Studies student at the Asian Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman. He has received various national and international awards like in the Filipino Migration to Hawaii Centennial Literary Prize (2006), UNESCO and Goi Peace Foundation of Tokyo Japan International Writing Contest for Young People (2007). He presented papers in various national and international conferences and seminars. He is currently the President of the Philippine Society of Young Educators of Languages and the Arts (PSYELA, Inc.).
