Job opening: Assistant Professor of International Relations/European Integration, Department of Political Sciences, Radboud University (3 years)
You will be an Assistant Professor who will develop and teach high quality courses in the field of International Relations and European Integration in our Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Political Science. You will also supervise Bachelor and Master theses. Furthermore, you contribute to the research of the Institute for Management Research (IMR) 35% of your time by publishing in leading internationally peer-reviewed journals and writing funding proposals.
You have a PhD in the social sciences demonstrating expertise in the field of international relations. Specific expertise in [new] security and the history and theories of European integration is an advantage. You are an enthusiastic colleague and able and motivated to contribute to the academic debate concerning international relations/European integration, as shown by publications in, amongst others, leading international academic journals. Furthermore, you have teaching experience and excellent didactic skills. You have a good command of both the Dutch and English language.
The Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) is an academic centre of research and higher learning. There are four departments within NSM: Business Administration, Public Administration & Political Science, Economics, Geography, Planning and Environment. Altogether, NSM employs 220 full-time staff. NSM offers education to about 3,000 students.
Our Department of Political Science has a strong reputation for offering high quality teaching by a dynamic, inspiring and international team, hosting experts in Comparative Politics, International Relations/European Integration, and Political Theory. In the Institute for Management Research, we cooperate with scholars from conflict studies, economics, geography, and public administration. We investigate and evaluate the impact of globalization on (potential) distributional conflicts ,the effect on the nature of the arrangements between states, markets, and civil society as well as the means and strategies aiming at preventing or managing (potential) conflicts.
The salary depends on qualifications and experience.
