PHISO panel entitled “Other Forms of the ‘International’: Islam, Subaltern, and Neutrality” at the International Studies Association (ISA) convention in Toronto, Canada. It will be held from March 27 to 30, 2019.
One panel at the Southeast Asian Studies in Asia (SEASIA) Conference with a theme entitled “Unity in Diversity: Transgressive Southeast Asia.” It will be held at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 16-17, 2017.
Two PHISO panels at the International Conference of the International Studies Association at the University of Hong Kong. It will be held from June 15 to 18, 2017. The titles of the panels are “Philippine Perspectives of the International” and “Southeast Asia’s role in the New World Order.” In addition, PHISO will participate in a roundtable sponsored by ISA Global South Caucus entitled “Promises, Potentials, and Lived Experiences of Globally-placed Academics.”
PHISO section on “Exploring Global South Contributions in International Relations” for the 5th Global International Studies Conference at National Taiwan University in Taipei. It will be held from April 01 to 03, 2017.
WISC exploratory workshop on “Sources of IR Knowledge in the Philippines.” It will be held one day (March 31, 2017) before the 5th Global International Studies Conference in Taipei, Taiwan.
PHISO section on International Relations and the Post-Colonial World: Exploring the Philippines, Asia, and Beyond for the 10th Pan-European Conference on International Relations. It is organized by the European International Studies Association (EISA). The section will be held at Yaşar University in Izmir, Turkey on 07-10 September 2016.
PHISO roundtable sections at the International Studies Association’s (ISA) Asia-Pacific Regional Conference. It will be held on 25-27 June 2016 at the City University of Hong Kong. The first roundtable is entitled “Formal and Informal Networks in Asia: Opportunities for small and medium powers?“, and the second is entitled “International Relations in Asia: Quo Vadis, Philippine IR?“
2nd exploratory workshop on “Alternative Cosmologies and Knowledge Systems in International Relations” organized by the World International Studies Committee (WISC) and by the Institute for Research on India and International Studies (IRIIS).
