The Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) within the School of Government and Society has a vacancy for a full time permanent Lectureship commencing in September 2016. This post will build on the considerable expertise of the department by offering undergraduate and Master’s level modules, as required, provide Doctoral Supervision and contribute to the general intellectual life of the department. Candidates will demonstrate a proven record of research and publications of the highest calibre. They will also be required to fulfil such administrative duties that the role requires.
The department is keen to appoint a candidate who can demonstrate an ability to teach in the areas of either the politics and international relations of the Middle East, or the politics and international relations of Asia/Pacific region. The successful candidate may be expected to teach as part of a team on core modules, develop (and lead on) more specialist modules, undertake student supervision and (where appropriate) engage in module and programme administration.
